SOUTHERN COALITION #4: PATRAS HOSTS LAST TRAINING SESSION

SOUTHERN COALITION #4: PATRAS HOSTS LAST TRAINING SESSION

After three training sessions held in Portugal and Italy, the Southern Coalition heads to the Greek city of Patras. Its fourth and final date is scheduled for November 27.

This workshop, to take place in Barry Theatre, aims at creating long-term, two-way links between the employees of cultural, social and educational organizations and ensure their continuity through time, as well as to explore new practices to broaden the audiences and make artistic creation available to all citizens of the region.

The first part of the event focuses on developing strategies, innovative ideas and new practices to bring broad and diverse audiences together, among other related topics. The second part introduces a laboratory design for joint actions, coordinated by Georgina Kakoudaki (stage director-theatrologist).

The Southern Coalition is the training-driven part of the project A Manual on Work and Happiness, which aims at strengthening the operational capacity of the agents from the three southern participating countries – Portugal, Italy and Greece. It is expected that the knowledge shared in the several sessions will enhance the skills and the competences of the trainees, particularly regarding audience development strategies leading to forthcoming more inclusive and participatory cultural projects.
