06 Mar Call for workshops and lazyshops
Are you an artist or a cultural agent from Europe currently developing a project or some sort of research related to work, happiness, laziness or creativeness – and the potential correlation between all these topics? If so, then this article is for you! If not, you can still spread the word!
The International Seminar on Work and Happiness is the first event to take place within the A MANUAL ON WORK AND HAPPINESS project. Italian performing arts festival Pergine Spettacolo Aperto is hosting a two-day seminar on the 14th and 15th of July. The seminar intends to bring together academics, researchers, cultural agents, artists and the audience.
14th July
Opening night
International experts will discuss happiness, productive work, laziness and creativity in a talk-show style event.
15th July
Morning: duels around the table
Experts will confront each other and their positions, giving the opportunity to the audience to ask questions and discuss their opinions with them.
Afternoon: workshop versus lazyshop
The audience will be able to enroll in a workshop or in a lazyshop run by the selected artists.
A call for workshops and lazyshops is open until the 16th of April.
Projects of workshops and lazyshops must be 4 hours long ca, must be addressed to a max. of 25 participants (artists, students, workers, general audience) and should explore, through artistic practice and a creative approach, one of these two areas: WORK (workshop) or NON-WORK (lazyshop) and how to relate it with the idea of HAPPINESS.
